A Quirky Lifestyle's First Blog Giveaway!

Tuesday, 16 July 2013

The great thing about being part of the blogosphere is that you meet some truly inspiring people. Becky and Graham are one such couple. They run a very popular and really cool travel blog called GlobalGrasshopper which has tons of riveting travel tales and tips. More recently, they launched an online shop called Lo-Fi Nomad specialising in decorative home and travel accessories using a lot of their own photography. I am really pleased to be collaborating with the duo for my blog's very first giveaway. The winner gets to choose absolutely any one product from the site, totally free!

To enter the giveaway, all you have to do is comment on the post below telling us your favourite travel destination and why.

The giveaway closes on July 27th at midnight (UK BST) and a winner will be chosen at random.

Commenting is really easy and you don't need to sign-up etc.  Just your name, comment and some way of contacting you will do! Good luck!!! Ann x

This giveaway is now closed and the winner is Desiree!

  1. When you ask ppl for winning a free lotto.. sure everyone tries their luck! Good way to attract folks u see .. ;)

Anyways... My [or our fav would be the right term] fav place to visit is Hawaii.. Born in a place which always kept us warm within woolen knits but never froze and at the same time never fails to show its beauty during summer, is something which reminds me my younger days!

Blue skies, crystal clear water, surrounded by hills, silver waterfalls and fresh green herbs grow along with you :D makes you love and admire nature every instant.. may be we missed sand beaches, coconut trees, sun sets [where I had no idea where did it fall off after it went behind the blue hills] .. N off course beach wears sometime.. so why not Hawaii can compliment it well I guess! waiting for sharing a trip with the most loved hubby I have ... Time will come and shall wait.. Oh just to drop by Maui wouldn't hurt too :P...

  2. My favorite place to visit in the World is Rome. It was my first trip to Europe (EVER!) in 2009, and never before had I been so lost, confused AND happy. I spent a month wandering the cobblestone streets and survived on a diet of Caprese Salad, gelato, and fresh pasta. Somewhere between my skirt catching the wind outside the Vatican and brushing knees with other Vespa enthusiasts on the frantic road ways, I learned to REALLY laugh in Rome. The intoxicating combination of the smell of warm stone, the crisp flavor of newly picked basil and the occasional splash from a ancient fountain drive my senses wild and I find myself falling asleep to the memories of this wonderful City.

  3. It has to be Kenya. For the first time in 20 years of adult travel, I did not have long lists and excel spreadsheets of places I wanted to visit and "tick off", while I was there. It was a completely relaxed holiday. Sure we had to wake up by 4am and endure excruciatingly bumpy rides, but the people we met, the landscapes we spied and the teeming wealth of wildlife has been our best experience to date

  12. I have barely travelled, but if I had to pick a destination it would be Australia….since my school days the picture of the Sydney harbour and the Opera house is stuck in my memory. Over the years there are many other reasons to visit this beautiful place; like its warm climate, landscapes, etc. So Australia it is!

  13. My favourite travel destination so far has been Tofino(West coast of Vancouver Island,in British Columbia,Canada).I love being close to the water(ahh reminds me of my hometown)and Tofino is a paradise for those love the sea.Whether you like to be in the water surfing or prefer just beach combing or may be fishing, kayaking, or better whale watching, how can I forget bear watching.Imagine,an all in one place, where you can also go hiking into the Pacific Rim National forest,or even enjoy watching the storm during winter. If this isnt interesting maybe just relax in one of the beautiful beachfront cottages, savour all the local yummy food and enjoy the dynamic arts scene deeply rooted in nature and First Nations culture. You wont find a better place to escape than Tofino. Its like you've reached the end of the road :)
